The President graduated from Claremont Graduate University with an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA). She has 27 years of experience working with private security firms. She specializes in working with government contracts and cost-effective custom security programs. She is a certified mediator by the City of Los Angeles, City Attorney’s Office and has vast experience in resolving difficult business disputes. The President has received numerous awards and recognition with various Councilman, Congressman, and City Mayors. Her experiences include Human Resources, Administrative Management, Marketing Development, Operations, and Staffing & Accounts coordination. The President’s duty is to make all executive decisions for the company, including those in direction, hiring, clientele, and business. She is the main point of contact for all contracts including those for both municipal and private sectors. She is also an honorary school board member at a local school district.
Senior Executive Consultant
The Senior Executive Consultant is an American Veteran who served in the United States Army before transitioning to a 26 year county career with the Department of Human Resources. His role in local governments included 12 years as a Senior Deputy to the Los Angeles County Supervisor. He also served over a decade as the Councilman and Mayor Pro Tem for a major city in the San Gabriel Valley and is a board member of prestigious associations such as the Foothill Transit Authority, East Los Angeles Red Cross Charter, and the United Neighborhood Organization. The Senior Executie Consultant's responsibilities are to advise top management of the issues and challenges within the company and provide methods to resolve them. His expertise in leadership and administration allow him to provide key insights on how to progress the company while retaining its core values.
Chief Of Operations
Chief of Operations has over 25 years of law enforcement experience. Overseeing one of the largest police departments in the San Gabriel Valley. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice Supervision, a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Chapman University, and is an adjunct professor at local colleges such as the Rio Hondo Police Academy. He is a graduate of FBI National Academy #244 and proudly served in the United States Marine Corps for over four years prior to joining the police force. The Chief of Operations oversees both internal and client-based operations, ensuring that our many Departments are functioning efficiently with clear communication lines. He also has a direct role in leading supervisors and staff to perform at the best of their capabilities.
Chief Legal Officer & General Counsel
The Chief Legal Officer has over 17 years as a practicing trial attorney. He has taken numerous cases through jury verdict on both the plaintiff and defense sides in multi-million dollar lawsuits. His practice spans both civil and criminal cases in state and federal courts. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from University of Southern California in 1998 and then went on to earn his law degree from Southwestern University School of Law's accelerated SCALE Program where he graduated at the top of his class. Throughout his long and distinguished career, the he has represented numerous police chiefs in the Southern California Area, police officers and deputies from numerous law enforcement agencies in Los Angeles, Orange and Ventura Counties as well as federal agents/officials from the Department of Homeland Security. The Chief Legal Officer oversees all legal matters pertaining to corporate, contract administration, and employment within the company.
As Associate In-House Counsel, she is responsible for the company's general compliance with local, state and federal laws. She earned her Juris Doctorate from Tulane University and her Bachelors from University of California – San Diego. During law school, she served as a law clerk at the United States Senate’s Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations as well as the American Civil Liberties Union. She also has years of experience consulting with state and local jurisdictions on issues concerning the prevention of, and the response to, public emergencies. An experienced attorney with in-house legal experience, she currently assists the General Counsel with any legal matters, reviews and assesses AIS' claims and liabilities, and drafts legal documents for internal and external matters. She also serves as a Contract Administrator for AIS, where she is responsible for the preparation and review of the company's contracts, bids, and RFPs.
Director of Compliance
The Director of Compliance is responsible for overseeing AIS’s robust compliance program. The director came to AIS with over 35 years of security experience, and has held a number of administrative and operational positions throughout his career. He has extensive knowledge on physical security systems (such as Network Systems, CCTV, Access Control, Lighting, Fencing, Barriers and Locking Hardware, as well as Integration and Fire-Life Safety Systems). He is also well-versed in administrative operations, as he has held roles from managing Fleet and Fuel Programs and a Communications / Dispatch Center, monitoring Electronic Monitoring Systems, to developing Training modules. He has been certified by Los Angeles Fire Department’s Community Emergency Response Team and their Urban Search and Rescue Team. He has also been certified by Texas A&M and TEEX in Weapons of Mass Destruction. He has been Certified as an Emergency First Responder Instructor by PADI International. Lastly, he holds certification on The Reid Technique of Interviewing and Interrogation. The Director of Compliance also served as a member of the security committee at the Los Angeles Union Station where he evaluated the security threats of rail systems throughout Los Angeles. He was also a member of the National Association of Chiefs of Police (NAOCOP) and the Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC).
Director of Human Resources
The Director of Human Resources is responsible for the entirety of overall administration within AIS including, but not limited to Human Resources, general services as well as Logistic Services. She has over 25 years of experiences handling HR, management, and accounting responsibilities for the private sector. The Director of Human Resources plays an essential role in forming long lasting relationships with our employees and establishing new, meaningful relationships with key players in the industry. She has been awarded for contributions from the City of Los Angeles, South Bay Workforce, FEMA, First District Supervisor Hilda Solis, and Congresswoman Grace F. Napolitano. Her overall goal is to make sure that company morale is high, that there is effective communication between management and employees, and that the company hires and retains new talent. She has a deep knowledge of employee relations, sexual harassment, hiring practices, and other matters related to human resources.
Executive of Operations & Training
The Executive of Operations & Training is responsible for the development and management of AIS Training Center and employee screening. During his 6-year tour in the United States Army, he was deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom as a 19 Delta Cavalry Scout with a rank of Sergeant. The Executive of Operations & Training has been employed by agencies like the Orange Unified School District as a Criminal Justice Instructor, the Los Angeles World Airports Police Department, and the Los Angeles Police Department for patrol and training. In those departments he was rewarded the position of an FTO (Field Training Officer). His training and experience extends to a vast majority of P.O.S.T. Certify Courses in Law Enforcement, acquiring P.O.S.T. certificate from the Commission of Peace Officer Standards and Training with the Department of Justice. He is experienced as the project manager for large governmental contracts dealing with both armed and unarmed security officers.
Quality Assurance Manager
The QA Manager plays a vital role in new business, damage control, threat assessments, post orders, risk management, and training. As a part of the Quality Assurance Department, he acts as the bridge between our officers and clients. He regularly performs site inspections to ensure that our officers understand their roles, duties, and responsibilities. He is experienced in providing site-specific retention training and constructing detailed Post Orders. As an instructor, he leads courses in the AIS Training Center that include OC Pepper Spray, Baton, and Active Shooter Emergency Response.
The Regional Manager is at the helm of the Operations Department at AIS. He has over 23 years of combined Military, Federal Service, and Corporate Security Management with an emphasis on training, recruiting, and customer service. He holds significant positions such as Commissioner for Veterans, Los Angeles County, 1st District and Assistant Director, and Army Reserve Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR). He has managed staff levels of all sizes and brings experienced leadership to the team. He oversees the Operations Department, but also contributes to a variety of additional support functions including Human Resources, Marketing, Branding, Recruiting, Risk Management, Business Development, and Logistics. He has established National, State and County Veteran collaborative programs through community outreach and was awarded the “Call to Service” award by President Obama.
The Operations Coordinator has over 20 years of experience working in the commercial transport industry and as a Collections Manager for Diamond Reference Laboratory. His leadership skills stem from managing a fleet of vehicles and engaging in talent acquisition. He ensures that all daily operations run smoothly and that schedules do not have any lapses in coverage. The Operations Coordinator oversees different departments such as dispatch/communication, logistics, customer service, and payroll/billing. At AIS, his responsibilities include coordinating all company vehicles, supplies, and uniforms. He is also in charge of tracking inventories and conducting R&D to reduce operating expenses.
The Financial Manager is responsible for the company’s financial statements, budgeting, cost analysis and tax filings. He received his M.Sc. in International Business at the University of Birmingham, UK and graduated from National Taiwan University majoring in Finance with a minor in Economics. He has over a decade of experience in the financial and banking industries. Before Absolute Security International, he was a fund manager in Fubon Asset Management and a financial research analyst in Canaccord Genuity and Morgan Stanley. He was involved in several international mergers and acquisition deals as well as advisory consultancy, being responsible for the supply chain and market trends of Strategies Unlimited. In AIS, the Financial Manager is responsible for audits, accounting, finance, and providing financial and analytical reports regarding company performance.
The Controller attended Cal Poly Pomona and Majored in Business Administration. She worked at ERS Security for 9 years before joining the AIS team. She oversees the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department’s goals and objectives. She is accountable for all periodic financial reports, bank reconciliations, corporate annual reports, and controlled cash flow for the company. The Controller oversees accounting operations, including Accounts Receivable and partial Accounts Payable. Organization of expenditures and receipts allow her keep AIS fiscally accountable and track overall finances to be in line with the company’s vision.
